If you could change one thing in this world, what would it be?
Ohio State students have powerful ideas for making our world
a better place and the ambition to transform ideas into action. The new President’s Prize
provides two graduating seniors the crucial connections and financial support
they need to advance innovative ideas for change in their first year after graduation.
It is an investment in social transformation and in individuals
who are passionate about creating a better world.
What is your vision for change?
Two graduating seniors were selected in November 2016 as the recipients
of the first-ever President's Prize, Ohio State's highest recognition
bestowed on exceptional students committed to social change.
Margaret Griffin, of Cincinnati, and KayMesha Knox, a Columbus native,
each will receive a $50,000 living stipend and up to $50,000 in startup funding.
President's Prize financial support is supplemented by access to faculty mentors
and other accomplished experts, as well as opportunities to share project ideas
with Ohio State's global community of alumni, friends and partners.
Information about the 2017 President's Prize application will be available.
Any full-time graduating senior who will receive his/her first undergraduate degree in autumn 2016, spring 2017 or summer 2017 is eligible to apply. The 2016 application deadline has passed. More information will be available in spring 2017 for next year's application process.
